Writing Own Vows

Hi Wendy,
My bride and I will be marrying in the spring of next year. we will have a non-denominational wedding incorporating several traditions. We would like to write our own vows and would like to do a little research on the subject. I have been having trouble finding anything on the subject. Thanks for any directions you can point me in.
David

Hi David,
The ceremony portion of your wedding day is when you will
share with your guests an incredible intimate moment. While
keeping in mind the tradition and history you bring into the
marriage, you also want to make a statement about who you
and your bride are. Both as individuals, and as a couple.
I am glad to see you starting the vow writing task in advance.
So many couples wait until the last month, if not week, before
sitting down to create their ceremony. This portion of the
celebration should be given as much time and consideration
as you spent selecting your wedding vendors.
Here are a couple of books you might want to look into. First
check into them at your local library, if they speak to you, then
you may want to purchase them as a handy reference. You can purchase them right on line here at Pennsylvania Weddings.
