Country & Western Theme

I want a country and western style wedding but I don't know where to look for planning it.

Theme weddings can be fun to create. A theme gives you a subject to focus on and build upon. Somehow, it helps to pull everything together better. Here are some ideas for you and also a couple of web sites you might want to look around in.
ACCENTS
Bales of hay scattered around
Place your gifts inside a life size covered wagon
Tossing rice placed in tiny western hats turn up side down
ATTIRE
Wear white cowboy boots under your dress
Have the gentlemen in the wedding party wear bolos
Gentlemen - tux coats with black Wrangler jeans, black boots, white cowboy shirts, black bolos, and black hats.
Ladies - broomstick skirts, cowboy boots, lace shirts.
CAKE TOPPER
Cowboy hat turned upside-down and filled with flowers
Porcelain bull and cow
CENTERPIECES
Glass milk jars filled with meadow flowers
ENTERTAINMENT
Instructions on line dancing
Hay rides for the guests
Presentation of folk dancing during dinner
Place a cut out cow in the middle of the dance floor, if anyone wants the bride and groom to dance they must rope the cow.
FAVOR
Guests receive small cowbells to ring for the pronouncement
Red bandannas engraved with names and dates
Horse shoes
FOOD AND SUCH
Tables made of saw horses and wooden planks
Bandanna napkins
Rustic serving dishes like tin plates
Cast iron pots and pans
Large triangle to ring to excuse tables 1 by 1 for the buffet
PEW BOWS
Horse shoes with raffia and dried flowers

Happiness always,
Wendy
